연세중앙교회 성전 헌당 감사예배에 지미 카터(Jimmy Carter) 전 미국 대통령께서 보내온 특별 영상 메세지 입니다.

연세중앙교회 모든 성도님들과 윤석전 목사님이 하나님께 새 성전을 봉헌하게 됨을 축하드립니다.
예수 그리스도로 말미암은 여러분의 헌신과 하나님의 나라를 위한 여러분의 충성스런 일에 제 아내와 형제들과 전 세계의 침례교인들을 대신하여 진정한 축하를 드립니다.
그리고 하나님이 풍성한 복을 주셔서 하나님을 예배하는 데에 이 성전이 최고로 값지게 쓰임 받을 수 있기를 바랍니다.
여러분들도 알다시피 제가 대통령이었을 당시 제 아내와 저는 여러분의 아름다운 나라를 방문했었고 최근에는 사랑의 집짓기에 자원하여 왔었습니다.
한국 국민들은 항상 우리를 따뜻하게 맞아주었습니다만 이번 헌당예배에 동석하지 못한 것을 유감스럽게 생각합니다.
여러분은 제가 또한 북한을 방문해서 핵무기의 위협으로부터 평화로운 해결책을 이끌어내려고 노력했다는 것을 아실 것입니다.
저는 여러분들이 전 세계의 기독교인들과 함께 평화와 핵 확산의 종결을 위하여 기도하는 데에 동참해주시기를 원합니다.
인류를 위한 하나님이 구원의 역사를 행하시기를 그리고 우리들이 다른 사람들에 대한 우리의 태도가 변화되기를 마지막으로 갈등이 있는 곳에 형제애의 정신을 주시기를 위하여 우리는 기도해야 할 것입니다.
오늘 여러분이 연세중앙교회에서 예배드리고 있을 때에 저도 함께 전능하신 하나님께 기쁨에 가득 찬 정성어린 찬양에 동참하고 있다는 것을 기억해 주십시오.
하나님께서 복을 주시고 지켜주시기를 바라며...

Congratulations to you Pastor Yoon and your congregation at Yonsei Central Baptist Church on the dedication of your new building.
On behalf of my wife brothers and fellowship of Baptists around the world I offer sincerest gratitude for your commitment to the cause of Christ and your work on behalf of the kingdom of God. May God richly bless as you fully utilize this building in His Service.
As you know Rose and I have been to your beautiful country when I was President and more recently to do some building of our own as volunteers for Habitat for Humanity. The Korean people have always received us warmly and we regret that we cannot be with you on this occasion.
You may also know that I have spent some time in North Korea in an effort to bring a peaceful resolution to the threat of nuclear weapons. I encourage you to join Christians all around the world in praying for peace and an end to nuclear proliferation.
Our prayers call for God's redemptive work on behalf of humanity and also the changing of our own attitudes towards those who we differ and the granting of the spirit of brotherhood in the midst of the conflict.
As you worship today at Yonsei Central Baptist Church please know that I share your joyful and heartfelt praise of the Almighty.
